POSITION SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATION:
The Assistant Accounting Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of accounting processes and procedures. He/She also engages in financial analysis management of funds, forecasting, budgeting and reviewing operational performance.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and must be a Certified Public Accountant
- MBA Degree an advantage
- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Assistant Manager specialized in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
I. MANAGEMENT
- Oversee the daily functions of the accounting section.
- Maintain and manage the system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage workflow and provide improvements
- Design work methods for more productive work environment
- Provides appropriate decisions on issues
- Develop alternative approaches and ideas to improve the system
II. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
- Review and certification of check vouchers to ensure compliance, validity and no double payments
- Ensure on time payment to avoid penalties and surcharges
III. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
- Review and certify journal vouchers.
- Manage the preparation of accounting reports
- Review financial statements
- Provide presentation in management and executive meetings
IV. BUDGET AND FINANCE
- Manage the preparation of the company budget, strategic planning financials, board materials
- Assist other departments in financial decisions
- Prepare forecasts, financial projections, project studies
- Assist management in formulation of financial strategic plans
- Interpret and reports the company’s financial results to management
- Provide presentation in management and executive meetings
