Position Summary and Qualification
The Safety Officer is responsible for devising and implementing Safety Policies and Contingency Measures for all estate locators in respect to the use of private roads, common areas and vacant lots, such as but not limited to fire safety, typhoon, and other man made or natural disasters.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma/Master's Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Set-up and implement safety contingency requirements and logistics (e.g. trucks, ambulance services and mobile technical services)
- Monitor and ensures that all buildings (Filinvest owned, Locators, Land lease Tenants) complies or executes efficiency of traffic light system, adequacy of traffic and safety signage for the safety public within the estate.
- Implements regular road inspection ensure that is properly maintained all time.
- Ensure compliance of constructing locators with the safety standards set by estate management.
- Monitor locator construction violations such as but not limited to spillage, fire hazards, and implement appropriate sanctions.
- Conduct regular inspection to identify potential hazards that may lead to accident.
- Recommends appropriate courses of action to mitigate any deficiencies found during inspection.
- Provision of an effective Incident Investigation procedure to accurately determine the cause to provide courses of measures to prevent and/or lessen the repeat of the incident.
- Conduct Safety Orientation to employees of Filinvest and offer the same services to non-Filinvest Companies.
- Submission of Legal and other requirements pertaining to safety.
- Provide safety precautionary instructions and information for any weather disturbances that may affect lives and company properties.
- Submission of operational monthly reports and such other reports, as may be required by management from time to time.
SKILLS:
- With related experience in environmental health and safety compliance from a reputable multinational company.
- With ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 1400: 2004, AND OSHAS 1800:2007 background
- Good communication skills
- Must have at least 40-hour training on Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH)
- With driving skills
- Computer literate
